Dear friends:

Thank you for looking at my website.

On June 3, 2008, I was elected to the Superior Court in El Dorado County. Over 66% of the voters expressed confidence that I would be the best candidate to serve the people for the following six years.

This expression of confidence is humbling and I pledge to work hard to warrant your expression of confidence. I will work hard to treat all who appear in my courtroom with courtesy and respect. I want to thank all those who voted for me in this election.

Beginning on September 2nd, I will be substituting for Commissioner Steven Valentine while he takes a short leave of absence. While Pro-Teming this month, I will handle the traffic, small claims and unlawful detainer calendars in both Placerville and South Lake Tahoe.

While these calendars are generally considered more routine, they are critically important to the public in general. Most citizens who come in contact with our courts, come in contact through these court proceedings. Justice from the Judges, Commissioners and Pro-Tems is critical in the important cases that citizens bring before the court.

I am excited with the prospect to taking office in January. While I am familiar with the workings of the court and how a trial or hearing is conducted I look forward to learning the process for many of my experienced colleagues.  -Steven Bailey

P.S. For the next six years I will be updating this site and keeping you up-to-date with new photos, new court issues, event updates including future fundraising dates, and other items. Thank you for continued your support.
